Testosterone Replacement Therapy: Some Risks

When taken in the right amount and in the proper way, testosterone replacement therapy is truly safe. But like any other treatments, it also comes with some risks. This is especially true for those who are taking it without undergoing proper assessment and tests. There have been cases of men having enlarged breasts, acne, and sleep apnea. Moreover, there have been studies claiming that testosterone therapy could also increase the risk of developing blood clots. But experts say that the risk can be avoided by donating blood.

Also, when using patches and gels, users must make sure that they only apply them to the right area and not touch the other body parts. Reports say that body parts often get in contact with these testosterone patches and gels cause unwanted hair growth. It goes the same to other individuals having in contact with these items even though they are not undergoing therapies.
